depends what you mean by slippers

I have exactly the same problems but I changed for a "slipper" to more cloggy no more problems!

Celtic sheepskin. They're amazing. Pricy though.

DrucillaDemelza · 29/08/2012 16:05

You want sheepskin - try the celtic sheepskin company, expensive but toasty and they last.

dd has these and this year will be the thrid winter. She lives in them. Mine are the same but I can´t find a picture of them!

I got a pair of Kiwi sheepskin boots and they are super toasty. I love love love them. Not as expensive as Celtic ones but still really warm and they have a decent enough sole that they will last a good few years more. Haven't quite cracked them out yet for this year but it won't be long.

I also found that having warm feet in the evening meant that I was warmer all over and even managed to sleep better without needing lots of extra layers in bed - I never got bone-chillingly cold so it didn't take as much energy to warm up again. DH was also appreciative of the lack of icicles in the bed!

scabbysnake · 29/08/2012 16:13

thanks - i'll check them out

Can you knit? I got fed up with rubbish slippers constantly dropping to bits so knitted my own and they are brilliant and so so warm. Knitted in a blend of wool and alpaca.

North face nuptse tent mules. Lovely and toasty

FringeEvent · 29/08/2012 16:16

I have these ones and they're really cosy: www.oliverbonas.com/accessories/accessories_favourites/sheepskin_kitten_slippers_camel.htm

i have celtic sheepskin, had them over a year now. they are ££ but fluffy sheepskin insoles refreshes them when they get trodden flat though constant wearing as they are so comfy, so they can last lears and years.

unlike the cheapo ones dh bought from sainsbo's which he insists are great, in the face of all stinky evidence to the contrary.

I suffer with cold feet all the time. In the winter I get really itchy chilblains. My sister bought me some Celtic Sheepskin Booties last year, but, I'll go against the grain and say they just don't keep my feet warm enough. Look nice though - I've got the bright pink ones! I daren't tell her though as they are pricey.
I got some Fleece Booties to try from Lands End in the sale earlier in the year and find these much better at keeping my feet warm. Can't link as they haven't got any in yet (not much help, I know). Much cheeper than the Celtic Sheepskin.
