Are knee length boots a no-no this A/W?

Title says it all really! I'm on the lookout for ankle boots to wear with straight jeans but I don't think my really skinny calves will suit ankle boots with skinnies. On the other hand, knee length boots with skinnies or with wool tights and above-the-knee dress or tunic looks good on me. I think Hmm. So what's the verdict on longer boots please? Smile

Knee high boots are fine. Don't think they really go out.

Millie- just bear in mind that their popular styles sell out quickly and at the mo they have free p&p.

MNHQ we need a topic for boots alone

Threads are already being duplicated!

I love all the boots threads Cybbo -a sure sign that autumn is just about here Smile

I just got that email MissBoPeep - have been trying to decide on two styles to order. Did you order anything yet?

Millie
yes! And they are on their way! Grin

I have ordered Gable. Reason being I need some replacement boots for some I bought from Jones coming up to 4 seasons back- they are mid calf biker style in tan and I can wear them under ( usually) or over jeans. This year though I want to wear skinnier jeans and they would not fit over the boots.

I have 3 other pairs from Duo- black suede kitten heel ( dressing up) brown flat- think it was called Viola- like a 60s boot- flat, knee high, very plain, and another one which is flat riding boot with elasticated sides and buckles at the top.

My ankles are too skinny to wear ankle boots with dresses, but I would wear with trousers over, or possibly leggings tucked in.

I think knee boots might be goming back. There are lots on the pages of the Topshop website which usually only has ankle boots.
