Acne Cypress Boots - to buy or find an alternative?

I have fallen in love with these boots (in particular the grey colour). Sadly am not a 5 and they usually retail at £400+!

As they are ££££ any idea where I can get something similar in grey. There are a few Cypress-a-likes out there (New Look) but no grey ones.

Alternatively if I did just decide to go for it, are they worth the big spend, quality wise? And how comfy are they with the big heel (am not really a heel wearer but notice they are stacked at the front).

am watching with interest

I saw this on a trip to Dublin last weekend and I fell in luuurve.

Also saw them walking past me on a v stylish lady

Budget couldn't or doesn't stretch to the price tag so would love some cheaper homages!

Wish I was a size 5!

I posted this about them a while back, seems everyone hated them and only had to hear the word Acne to confuse them with the Pistols. In the end I kept the lighter colour pair of the 2 and they are lovely quality leather and look great. I now know it was the right decision for me to not shell out the £460 for the Acne ones, they're a good enough copy of the style for me.
But have never seen an imitation of the grey, they are really lovely, I hope you find some. FWIW the ebay ones you linked to look VERY well worn, I would steer clear.

I've def seen v similar boots around

Try Aldo

Love the look of the Cypress boots(prefer them to Pistols actually) but personally said no for 2 reasons

  1. heel a bit too high for everyday comfort - they would be special occasion only and cannot justify the CPW
  2. soles - not convinced they work out in rain and puddles and not keen on having a pair of boots that wear out in just one season

But I think some S&B have the original Cypress boots and love them.
If anyone finds a rubber-soled Cypress-alike, I'm still interested...

Can't comment on the Cypress but my pistols are standing up well. I had them resoled when I bought them, as I do with all luxury shoes and they are right as rain. They are so comfortable. Big fan of Acne boots.

I have the cypress ones in cream/nude (a la DMBL40) and I find them v comfy for running around in. But I also have the new look copies and am not convinced that the price difference is worth paying for the cypress ones. But the stacked heels make both feel v like wedges which I wear a lot, not at all like running around on spindly heels IYKWIM.

I love the Cypress much more than Pistols. There is a New Look version, and also Shore and Sofie from Kurt Geiger have a similar look.
