Grey wedge shoe boots..?

I quite like these and also these.

However, I have never owned a 'shoe boot'. So, what would I wear them with? The straight leg jeans I have yet to find? Dress and tights? What colour tights?

Also, anyone know what DM sizing is like these days? My old 8 hole boots are too big, for some reason I thought I was a size 5 ten years ago. I'm now a 3 in most shoes.

I have a pair similar to the first, also in brown have worn them with everything. More skinny than straight jeans tbh, also thick tights and dresses/skirts as long as the colour of shoe isn't too pale

have these from really exciting Clarks. Very comfy and look great with skinny. Yet to try with tights and skirts. They are more charcoal then black.
