Have just ordered brogues. I really shouldn't come on here after drinking 2 cans of M&S pina colada - it is dangerous!

ImpossiblyGlossy · 27/08/2012 20:12

Then she popped up and said " aha - we used to chat about topsy and tim on mumsnet years ago" and it was BAKEDPOTATO

she is a lady author now!

MrsCampbellBlack · 27/08/2012 20:36

Do the clark brogues come in cherry red? I only see wine.

ImpossiblyGlossy · 27/08/2012 21:49

Oh you purist. ;) sorry. Wine.

OP posts:
mirpuppet · 27/08/2012 22:39

Thanks -- I so wanted cherry red shoes but the wine will work well for autumn.

WhyTheBigPaws · 28/08/2012 07:17

I also had similar to those for school and bloody hated them as I wanted little pointy court shoes - now I think they're quite cool. Can someone tell me how you wear them though - they look like they'd need socks but I'm envisioning them with rolled up chinos or skinnies and I don't think that'd be a good look. Or do I need new trousers as well?

ImpossiblyGlossy · 28/08/2012 07:59

Oh her book? Will tweet to ensure her privacy.

OP posts:
ImpossiblyGlossy · 28/08/2012 08:00

I Think either Annie hall style with mannish tweeds (can't do) or skinnies that are ankle grazers.

Jennyrosity · 28/08/2012 09:48

Oooh, I have the previous incarnation of them (slightly higher heel). They have lasted me years despite being worn almost daily for work and are sooooo comfy.

ImpossiblyGlossy · 28/08/2012 10:42

It's ok. Bit stupid at end. Dud you read 100 year old man already ? Only just released

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 28/08/2012 10:51

I couldn't possibly buy a shoe apparently named after the ugly doll on PlaySchool.

Dunno. Do a search under the name. You'll see all colour options

sassytheFIRST · 28/08/2012 20:59

Me too - spotted them on the assistant who fitted my kids' shoes the other day. Ox blood rather than cherry red, I'd say.

But as a size 7.5 with thinnish legs might be a bit too masculine Sad
