hi, getting married soon and my dress has a corset back and is fairly structured. In the shop they also put a proper boned basque on me and the combination of the two was fairly uncomfortable and inflexible. I have a two toddlers so want to be able to bend down and move at my wedding (and eat!). Do I really need the basque type thing or will ordinary stretchy shapewear be ok? (no bra straps as dress is strapless). Advice please! Many thanks x

I did have a full corset but that was because I couldn't find a strapless bra to fit. I would say you will probably be ok with decent shapewear but, unless you are very small busted I probably wouldn't go braless. IME the boning on wedding dresses tends to be plastic which means it bends as the day progresses - so while it might look great to begin with you might find it's not holding you up much by later on!
