Hello! I need a black cardi. You would think it would be easy to find one but I've been hunting high and low for one forever (and in the last 4.5 years been pregnant 2x and breastfeeding still ...) so have yet to find one I like.

I'm usually a size 8 (have some baby belly... :() and am 5ft 3. It's for work. I usually get to wear smart casual clothes although I on occasion have to wear suits and stuff like that.

Would be v grateful for some pointers. Thank you!!

Dotty P's have simple cardigans in black

Blimey, you must be picky then! Nothing wrong with that but I think we'll need some more pointers: Length? normal or waterfall? Sleeve length? What it should be made of? Contrasting or matching buttons? neck line? smooth? fluffy? textured? Budget of course. The full shabang please Smile

Yeah, and new look, H&M and (IIRC) M&S too. Probably next as well... Sound more complex than that though or maybe the OP just hasn't looked very well...

White company?

QueenCadbury · 27/08/2012 16:11

H&m, gap, Dorothy Perkins, mango. Most places have them.

drcrab · 27/08/2012 17:52

Thanks all! Smile no I'm really not that fussy. Really. I just want a standard cardi that has no gold buttons or waterfall (shudder indeed) and is long enough to cover my belly. Grin

I thought I'd checked out m&s but didn't find any. Others seem to have either funny sleeves or something else that's wrong!!

I haven't been shopping much though. Having a 4 and 2 year old and working full time makes shopping a rare thing. Because the 2 year old doesn't sleep through or even early enough (circa 9/10?) I really have no energy. Sad

Oops. Budget - more like say £40 tops? White company lovely but no money!

Just an update: I went to h&m and bought out the whole store. Kinda. Bought a black
Cardi, a mustard cardi, a black jacket and a grey jacket (with pretty linings that show if you turn the sleeves up), a floral shirt and a plain white top.

Somehow I think I might be ready for the new season. Thanks all! Grin
