Blusher Application

I need your expert advice please.Where is the correct place to apply blusher? I always apply it right on the apples of my cheeks ( usually use benetint or rosy gel shade),but having studied pics in magazines etc should I be brushing it on my cheek bones?I was thinking if I were to use a browny, colour for example or a less natural shade than pinky should I then put this on my cheek bones instead of the apples?

No idea sorry, as I use Benetint and do just what you do. But try Lisa Eldridge's site to see if she has a video on it maybe.

I use pink blusher on my cheek bones, and then blend a brown blusher in the hollows as it makes my face look less moon-like Grin

Shape wise it's a sort of "comma" shape starting on the apples of my cheeks and fading out over my cheekbones. If I concentrate only on the apples it doesn't look right.

I've been wondering this since an episode of America's Next Top Model where one of the girls was told off for putting blusher along her cheek bones as it's "90s" I couldn't figure out how you're supposed to do it.
