Views on this parka, please?

I know it's M&S but I quite like it.

What do you knowledgable MNers think? And, it says wax, do you think that means as in water resistant?

Actually, I think I like it. I find it quite acceptable.

I believe that wax means water resistant but I am not sure.

I like it but it doesn't look very warm. Depends on whereabouts in the country you are I suppose!

Hmm, thanks. I could do with it being warm.

Last year's coat was extremely warm but won't fit round my bump.

Now I'm stumped. In need of a coat that will see me through winter, preferably waterproof, and fit round my bump.

I think it's a mumsy version of a parka, I wouldn't and if your pregnant you're probably younger than me.

I'm 40. But I don't want to look mummy (but probably do).

It's a bit shapeless. I like a bit of interest in a parka: Ties hanging at the back, back longer than the front. This one is pretty boring. (I'm the same age as you.)

More on the mod side of things, yes! I have a New Look cheapo one that's a rain coat but in a parka style, it's just the right shape. I'd like a silk one really.

Well I went in and tried it on today. It fit fine, even over my bump, but I'm not sure it's what I'm looking for. Hmm....

Don't like that one much, sorry. I think it looks too 'sensible' and rather dull. But am hoping that somebody will come along with links to lovely ones on here now. :)

I've seen it in store too and it's lovely but not sure it will fit over a hump without having to buy a huge size, then you'll risk looking like you're wearing a bin man's coat :)

How about this? It's maybe a bit cheaper looking but it might be nicer in the flesh. Worth a try?
