Nice day spas in London?

I'd like to take MIl for a day or half day to a nice spa in London. It's a big birthday (she'll be 70) so I'm looking for somewhere luxurious but, as she's very shy, not somewhere where she will feel awkward.

I went to the Sanctuary many years ago which was nice enough but I'm sure there's much more choice these days. I'm in South West London so anywhere in Central or SW London would be fine.

Please give me your best suggestions!

I know there are many amazing ones in London, please can I tell you not to go to the spa at The Baglioni hotel whatever you do! It was the worst spa experience I've ever had and gave me shoulder pain for months..they have lots of deals on...do not be tempted!

Thank you!

The Espa spa at the Corinthia Hotel is absolutely lovely.

I always enjoyed the sanctuary

Not exactly the right area (just North of North London) - but this place is amazing

I am currently lying in the relaxation lounge in The Sanctuary in Richmond after a massage and would recommend Grin

Dorchester Spa used to be amazing but I haven't been since it was done up. Could be worth a try?

Anyone tried the St Pancras hotel? It looks lovely. Im trying to book somewhere for a friends 40th but there will be 8 of us. Will watch this thread.

I saw a rave review for the St Pancras one. I'm also watching. Smile

Another vote for the Sanctuary. I love that place.

ANOTHER vote for The Sanctuary. It's female only too so perhaps that would help her feel more comfortable?

I always think the sanctuary is a bit tired and sort of done. It's quite overpriced too

The mandarin has a fabulous spa and I love the Spa:Nk but this is toward nothing hill and might be a bit of a hike for you.
