Is bare minerals any good?

My friend has suggested I try bare minerals make up but I just looked and the starter kit is £49.

Can anyone tell me there experience as its a lot of money to fork out if it isn't as good as she says?

I think it's amazing stuff. Switched to totally using all bare minerals make up about 4 years ago and my skin has improved no end (spot wise). A little goes a long way and those pots last ages. I'd recommend going to your local bare minerals counter for a make over - it'll be very subtle and you can then see the level of coverage and know your correct shade. Debenhams bare minerals counter where I live is great, they often have discounts and special promotions on.
