What can I use? Every month when my period is due I get spots, I'm not talking a couple. I'm talking teenage acne no part of my face is left spot less they are also on my chest and a couple under my arms.

I take vitimin e tablets and this seems to help, but is there any product or tablet i can take?

I am on oxytetracyclin for this. I know how awful it is. The buggers hurt too. I've never found anything that helps other than my prescription pills.

I was hoping to avoid going to the Dr, but will if no one else has any other ideas or suggestions

The pill? Worked (for the most part) for me. Otherwise I'm currently using a witch hazel gel which reduces them nicely (esp on my chest).

Benzoyl peroxide works very well (google 'acne.org' ) but it can be a pain to use.

You could try opening the vit e pill and apply directly to face.

OP, I've suffered from hormonal breakouts all my adult life (after getting not even a pimple as a teenager). Going on the Pill (Dianette) helped, and after I came off it I've had spells (during and just after pregnancy, or when a pig's flown past the window) when my skin has behaved itself, but in the last year since I turned 40, it has been diabolical - nasty, angry lumps popping up on my face around the time of my period and then taking three weeks to clear up, just in time for a new batch to break out for my next period.

Since the beginning of June, though, I've been using Antonia Burrell's skincare products antoniaburrell.com, and I've had three periods in that time without getting any angry breakouts. I've had a couple of minor spots, but they've cleared up in a couple of days, instead of taking the best part of a month.

The products are expensive, but after using the the cleansing oil and skin tonic once a day for three months I still have half a bottle left of each. The pure therapy facial serum lasted two months of daily use, and I haven't used the moisturiser yet as it's out of stock.

The pill is what started it off. I haven't taken it for 3 years, but am still getting the spots.

I'll take a look at thoes sites thanks.
