Older toddler boy trousers which don't get holes in?

DS is 2.7 but needs age 3-4 size trousers. Is there a make which is reasonably priced but don't get holes in them?

I normally buy Sainsbury's jogging bottom style ones, but several have developed small holes. I'm expecting DS2 so would like to get some which might be more long-lasting.

I need trousers without ankle 'cuffs' as I need to take them off without removing shoes, for toileting purposes. They also need to be big enough in the bottom to take a disposable nappy.

Do you mean holes in knees? I suppose cords & jeans are most durable fabric.

Baby gap jeans. Used them for ds1
And 2. Brilliant.

No, the problem isn't the knees - there are those tiny holes in random places (probably where the fabric has got caught on something), and tearing around the bottom hems - just like I get on my jeans.

I'll have a look at Gap jeans.

Gap is good for boys clothes. I have two ds and their clothes have lasted both. Sign up to their mailing list and they often send out 30% off vouchersSmile They also do good sales.

I buy all my 3 year old's clothes from M&S. No holes here.

Thanks. We've never used M&S trousers before as they're all too small to fit a cloth nappy underneath, but now we use disposables that's less of an issue.

We also have a nearly 3 year old in size 3-4-5 trousers.

We LOVE Sainsbos denim long shorts. They are really hardwearing, great for putting wellies on as no tucking in, and warm enough for cooler days.

Sadly DS hates any type of shorts. "Get rid of bare legs!" is the cry. Hmm

Do you just want jogging bottoms? I have 3 boys and best ones I've got are Tesco. They do thick straight leg style and are onto 2nd boy with no holes! I also rate h&m and the gap straight leg cords are fab. In fact have never had a problem with gap trousers in 8 years!

my son has a pair of cord joggers from h and m which are doing really well. stretch the bottom cuffs enough and you can fit a shoe through.
