Anyone got / had really bumpy tops of their arms? Wont smooth down with a loofah. Wondering if it is due to dietary deficiency... any suggestions....

There's a name for me, but it escapes me ATM. Anyway, flexitol will sort it out easy as.

No harm in improving your diet but AFAIK it's not caused by a deficiency.

GoingToBedfordshire · 24/08/2012 14:24

Does it sound like this?
keratosis pilaris

My dd (5) seems to have it. At the moment, she doesn't seem bothered, but as soon as she is, I will treat it.

valiumredhead · 24/08/2012 14:25

Aveeno gets rid of it very quickly.

MrsLettuce · 24/08/2012 14:31

Aveeno too indeed, anything with a reasonably high urea content. I swear by udder cream for this sort of thing and feet but the name usually make makes people go "Hmm No, thanks".

winnybella · 24/08/2012 14:34

Which Aveeno product, please?

DD and I have it, I've never tried getting rid of it, but my mum says that buffing with salt in the shower worked very well for her.

LolaAnn · 24/08/2012 14:34

Yes, I have it, supplement with vitamin D3 pills. You will probably notice it goes in a few weeks, seems to work for most people I know.

valiumredhead · 24/08/2012 14:35

Any of the Aveeno creams they sell in Boots - they all seem to work.

winnybella · 24/08/2012 14:37

Ok, thank you Smile

LolaAnn- that's interesting, because I've noticed that it goes away during summer. I assumed it was thanks to the sun 'drying' it out, but perhaps it's due to the extra vit.D production.

The one that gets raved about constantly on these boards is Flexitol foot cream. It has the highest Urea content (more than Aveeno).

PlumSykes · 24/08/2012 15:36

Mine went after I had a 2nd baby. Maybe try that?

shopafrolic · 24/08/2012 17:02

Another vote for Flexitol

victoriassponge · 24/08/2012 17:38
