Coconut Oil - more questions!

After reading wonderful things on here on the benefits of coconut oil, i've been looking around. Virgin or not? Organic or not? Are any better than others? Can I just pop into Holland & Barratt?

I'm thinking of using it mostly on hair & skin.

Unrefined coconut oil (virgin) will not clog your pores.

thats why you shouldnt use KTC etc.

KTC hasn't caused me any problems I'm happy with it, it helps get shot of my spots when I have a breakout and my pores look fine, I think everyone is different and should really test the waters to find what oils/blends are right for them.

At least thats the advantage oils have over commercial things, you can all ways adjust and for a small price.

I agree that everyone is different and some things work better for some people.

I've got very spot prone oily/combination skin and have suffered with it over the years and tried various things on it. I was dubious about using oil but can honestly say its the best thing ive ever done and wish id found it years ago!

I read loads online about it and decided that the purest form was the way to go. Ive used the KTC type one on my hair before and it was good in fact I have some (good stuff too good to use on anywhere but my face!) but the difference if you compare the two is big it smells and feels different.

A lot of the cheaper ones even though they say 100% or pure xxxx often have other oils blended.

One word of advice to anyone thinking of eating coconut oil......do so with caution as it has a laxative effect!

Have just got some from Tesco's!! Have put some on my arms & smells fab. Although tricky to get out with just my fingers! i didn't realise it was so solid
