I really fancy having a go with this. I love the fiftys styling at the moment with the flicky eyeliner, but not sure how to choose correct red lippie.Have heard people talking about cool and warm colours. I have been told i have warm colouring an have blue/grey eyes and dark blond hair. Please any suggestions....

i have just started wearing red lipstick after years of wanting too but being too nervous to try it. unfortunately i cant tell you which one i am using or which one you should use because i have no idea! what i did do though was just go up to the make up counter - i think it was bobbi brown - and ask them what would suit me. so you should do that!

Try Kate Moss for Rimmel no 1.

It's a tomato, retro red, and cheap.

Mabeline Super Stay 24 Hour in red passion. It's a true red so should suit all skin tones, it doesn't transfer, stays looking fab for ages, isn't drying and is generally the dogs bollocks.

The Rimmel red is a very good colour (also a true red) but it's a traditional lipstick and transfers like they all do. I like to be able to kiss the DC, drink coffee, eat and what have you without covering everything in red splodges...

Rimmel do do a good pin up red nail varnish though. Well, the colour is good, the brush really pissed me off.
