Do you think I could wear this dress in autumn/winter......

....with opaques, ankle boots and cardi or is it too much of a summer dress. I quite fancy a vintage/tea dress this year here

Have not bought said ankle boots yet but am keeping an eye out so any suggestions on that front welcome Smile

I think thats lovely. You could wear it in autumn with flat nude pumps and bare legs, or black opaques with a cardi (even a black cardi would be ok) and black shoes/boots.

boots wise I bought these yesterday totally bargain

I got the beige but I also like the flowery ones although I'm not sure I'd wear them.

jumpyjan · 24/08/2012 10:39

Thanks switched - I do love the print and think its quite unusual. Trying to do something a bit different this year other than the usual A/W combos.

Great boots and total bargain - haven't thought of going on Amazon for boots so going to have a look.

Definitely, it's really nice. Love the print. similar but over knee length here, they're photographed over petticoats but will fall the same as the DP one without.

Trills · 24/08/2012 11:16

It has black in it, so you could wear it with black tights.

I really don't like the collar though.

ALittleBitOfMagic · 24/08/2012 11:18

Yes I think that would be absolutely stunning ! Grin

ThisTooShallPass · 24/08/2012 11:19

Yeah, Trills is right, the collar does look a bit odd - like it's been printed on / sewn down. Maybe it's better IRL.

nicknicknick · 24/08/2012 11:21

Thanks for that boot link switched, what a total bargain

SwitchedtoEatingCheese · 24/08/2012 11:54

no probs nicknick, I'm tempted to buy the flowery ones too, but can't decide if they are awful or not. Was thinking on wearing them with slim jeans, probably tshirt and a blazer.. what do you think??

nicknicknick · 24/08/2012 11:57

Yes lovely with skinny or straight leg jeans I think. I'm thinking with a dress and fishnets. That's 2 pairs of boots I've bought in 2 days Blush

SwitchedtoEatingCheese · 24/08/2012 12:08

I've bought 3 pairs in the last two weeks Blush. In my defence you honour they were all bargains and as I live in Scotland boot season is generally from early Spetember till late June, so I will get my moneys worth from them.

SwitchedtoEatingCheese · 24/08/2012 12:11

another bargain

jumpyjan · 24/08/2012 13:55

Hmm Trills hadn't really noticed the collar (small laptop screen) but did notice on the reviews that it was not a proper collar. I love the print though so am torn.

Mrs Lettuce I can't seem to get onto that website at the mo - not been on there before so will try again later.

Thanks Magic Smile

I wish DPs dresses weren't so SHORT!

MrsLettuce · 24/08/2012 14:22

The Lady V site seems to be up again now - wonder if it means they have new stock. Am off to investigate...

jumpyjan · 24/08/2012 14:38

ooh love Lady Vintage! Now I have found another dress what do you think?

OP posts:
MrsLettuce · 24/08/2012 14:40

I like it. It is out of stock though and with it having been reduced I wonder if they'll get it back in. Might be worth calling them, I have done a few times and they've always been very helpful.

jumpyjan · 24/08/2012 14:44

Oh no so it is - I am so unobservant today!

FireOverBabylon · 24/08/2012 14:55

I ordered this ex-Dottie P's dress today off eBay, also hoping to wear it into the winter with a cardigan. It's got the darker colour of your Lady V dress and the birds from your first one.

jumpyjan · 24/08/2012 15:11

Like it fire thanks for posting - hmm options!
