Precisely nothing.
Even with 10% off there was nothing.

I'd earmarked a few things in the catalogue, but when I saw it in RL , I didn't even bother trying it on.

Overpriced and very frumpy.

Cheltenham or Bath best for me :)

Oh well done Diana.
I can get to London....me and AuntAda could meet!

Sadly I can't play as I'm overseas (and have to rely on mail order which is VERY hit or miss, mostly miss these days)

However, I did get a chance to try stuff on on the summer and again, the sizing was appalling. Picked out loads of tops all labelled "M" and only one was the right size. "L" was way too large for me. If the sizing was uniform, I'd have no problem buying stuff again.

I'm also always disappointed by the offerings at LTS, which is a shame because it means I have to order much of my clothing from the tall sections at J.Crew and Gap in the states. So much hassle! Love being six feet tall, hate shopping for winter coats (sleeves too short).

Iloveclothes · 03/11/2014 17:16

I agree with a lot of these comments! Customer service is stinking and in store it is not much better, in fact it actually makes me not want to go near the place!
I thought scots were meant to be friendly?! Proven wrong when u moved to Edinburgh and shopped in LTS! Disgrace of a place and very run down

I bought a basic black suit at LTS recently, but I didn't care for anything else. I mean, it was nice to be in a store where I knew that all the trousers would be long enough for me, but other than that I wasn't interested. Other than having a 33" inseam, I'm built pretty standard and don't need long sleeves or anything. I also like miniskirts so the only time being tall is an issue is trousers.

It's a pity their shoe styles are so dull - I like the idea of knowing they have size 8's in stock. Just don't care for what they have.

Fabulassie · 03/11/2014 18:21

I did think the service at the Manchester city centre store was excellent.

Now I promise I am not an LTS troll - I am on loads of the "where can I find tall clothes threads on here". Well I was, anyhow.
But XP bought me a heavy wool fitted black jacket from there for Christmas last year. £120 I think it was - I would never spend that on myself, ever! (but he was the grand-gesture-king).
It has a fur trimmed detachable hood, long long sleeves and covers my arse. I love it. (sorry!)

At the same time, as I thought we were splitting up and I wouldn't get the coat I purchased a size 16, black DP parka, and it split down the back seam immediately, so if anybody wants it you can have it (you'll need to fix the seam mind, and I lost the belt!!)

I do agree that the general LTS stuff is shite, overpriced and tatty.
My 6ft sis had the "military" style super long jacket, we thought it was wonderful until it was worn more than three times and it just died a tatty death and split and the lining came out. She complained but they told her to piss off as she'd worn it!

I now buy the vests from H&M - amazingly wonderfully long, and jeans from NL Tall range. And if I'm feeling non-40-non-mutton-esque I have a look at TopShopTall range.
I have seen one thing in the LTS range this season that I like, the black and pink tracksuit.
But the ripped jeans on that new "posh" range - what are they, £170 or something?
I'll stick to NL tall for casual and Next tall for workstuff.

Hi Diana. I know this sounds rude but your clothing is really, staggeringly unattractive. Could you do some longer one-piece swimming costumes though? The ones you sell really are not much longer than ordinary ones.

rockpinkpumpkin · 03/11/2014 21:28

OMG - this was a zombie thread, I never realised the last post before today was Sun 02-Sep-12 11:59:26 !!

Longtalljosie · 03/11/2014 21:31

Oh bugger no chance of better swimming costumes then!

rockpinkpumpkin · 03/11/2014 21:38

Tankini is your way forward !!

BillStickersIsInnocent · 04/11/2014 05:41

But I want to know now - did Diana ever do the feedback thing?

ItsGotBellsOn · 04/11/2014 12:21

I look at LTS online every season, hoping to find something (am 6 ft).

In the decade or so I have been doing this I have bought precisely TWO things I love (a summer dress and maxi dress from last year's summer range).

Its generally hideous.

afussyphase · 28/11/2014 23:56

oh dear. maybe i am a frump. i have 2 blazers from there (the sleeves are long enough!), and a very long blue cardigan thingy that i wear quite a lot .. it's a long tight-knit thingy in different shades of blue. i'm worried now, re frumpiness. but i can't really find sleeves long enough anywhere else short of the netherlands. sigh.
