Brora clearance sale ON! Lovely silk blouses for £29, cashmere socks for £15

Cashmere cardies and jumpers for £95. Dresses for £19.

Lovely, lovely things Smile I've bought another pair of cashmere socks, a silk blouse, and a nightdress. Massively reduced. If I was in the market for cashmere (I'm not, have enough) they have gorgeous jumpers for £95 - last forever.

I don't need them so I resisted but they have a beautiful pair of felt slippers for £10 - very posh Christmas gift (in size small)

Agh, I have no money :(

winefairy · 23/08/2012 15:15

Some really good bargains. I bought some of these basic tops for layering and more of the thermal tops for DD.

Really liked the look of this jumper too. Resisted though as mohair and I have history. And it's not a pleasant one!

ExasperatedSigh · 23/08/2012 23:08

Oh, I really like those layering tops winefairy. Also have rather fallen for this, but even with the massive price reduction I can't justify it due to end of month-itis and DS's birthday imminent...damn you flash sales!

LaurieFairyCake · 23/08/2012 23:14

Bloody hell, that's lovely (and the styling is great) - you have to buy that - it's too small for me, can I live through you vicariously Grin

ExasperatedSigh · 24/08/2012 15:15

Enabling complete, just what I wanted Grin

LaurieFairyCake · 24/08/2012 18:50

I'm really glad you bought that, it's such a stylish dress and what an amazing bargain. I can see it being worn in winter too with thick tights and a chunky cardie.

Great dress and an absolute bargain! Enjoy.

wearymum200 · 24/08/2012 19:56

Had never considered Brora as out of my price range ,but the dresses on here are gorgeous and a bargain (and I'm starting a new job, need to look smart for 1st time post dc, I think a good excuse for shopping... ). V important question tho', what is Brora's sizing like? I wear an 8 in M and S usually, would you recommend I buy size 8? Thanks

LaurieFairyCake · 24/08/2012 20:20

I think they are generous if they're jersey items and knitwear, true to size on fitted.

Can someone please convince me to buy some cashmere socks.

dexter73 · 24/08/2012 20:33

I think cashmere socks are a waste of money as they wear out very quickly. Buy some gloves or wristwarmers instead.

Mama1980 · 24/08/2012 20:42

Ooohhhh just ordered both the socks and wrist warmers -look so snuggly. Grin

LaurieFairyCake · 24/08/2012 20:48

I remember you said that last year Dexter - mine have never worn yet, not one hole - I only wear Broea cashmere socks from October to April - machine wash on 30 wool, then just drape over a chair, not a radiator. I've now got 10 pairs - all bought at 15 quid, this will be my third year with them.

dexter73 · 24/08/2012 20:55

Mine went through the heels within a month. I was not impressed Angry!!

cluelessnchaos · 24/08/2012 20:57

Right, I blame each and every one of you for just buying 8, I repeat 8 items ( albeit for under 200 squids)

dexter73 · 24/08/2012 20:59

Links please clueless!

GobblersKnob · 24/08/2012 22:17

Damn you. I am supposed to be not spending.

Two layering tops and a cashmere beanie Grin

shine0ncrazydiamond · 24/08/2012 22:43

I have bought the Liberty Jersey Wrap Dress for £19.

They only have size 10 left in stock which could be a little dodgy depending on what their sizing is like? I am more like a size 11 really!

Thanks for the heads up Laurie!

Fozzleyplum · 24/08/2012 22:49

I can never resist the Brora sale. This time, I bought wrist warmers, tee shirt, metallic espadrilles (which work well with orthotics - I've been wearing a pair all Summer).
Am trying not to lust over the Autumn/Winter stuff, as I'm now skint.

LaurieFairyCake · 24/08/2012 23:03

Shine - you'll be fine with a 10, the jersey stuff must be generous as I can get into a 16 some of the time and an 18 all of the time. They had loads in my size of that dress when I shopped yesterday but I resisted and bought a silk blouse, socks, and a nightie instead.

Their V neck cashmere jumpers are sooo bloody gorgeous for 95 quid.

I will update when received. A complete bargain at that price!

I was really naughty and spent loads. Just about to get paid for a few things do thought I would treat myself

I have ordered my first pair of cashmere socks, The Stripey mohair jumper (which will be too big but might look good anyway), tank top for Ds and lovely looking blanket for dd and a liberty dress for me. I am very short so expect to have some lovely fabric left over from the hem I will inevitably have to alter...! Treat

wearymum200 · 26/08/2012 21:34

Thanks for size guide, I've bought the Liberty wrap dress for £19 and another jersey dress. V excited at the thought of some new clothes....
