I've found a cure for spots

Spent two weeks in Dubai in the sun everyday, but with factor 30 on my face. I get a LOT of hormonal spots on my chin and the scars last for months. They have cleared up more in the last two weeks than in the last six months! Also a new spot that fought its way to the surface during my holiday also healed much more quickly than ever before. Maybe I should emigrate...

Use blardy Neutrogena

Agree, my face is much better after the south of france holiday, but my neck has spots (from sweating I think)

Rosehip oil for acne? I thought it was more anti-ageing? Interesting!

Cutting out refined sugar has helped me.
I get natural creams and oils from an online shop and they are very reasonable. Mother Natures Goodies, they blend essential oil in for you too if you want it.
The Chamomile cream is nice and rose otto gel.
I also agree about coconut oil.

Springforward · 22/08/2012 21:31

So what do you do with the coconut oil?

valiumredhead · 22/08/2012 23:41

Rosehip is indeed miraculous - couple of drops mixed with your night cream.

Cartoonjane · 23/08/2012 06:55

valium sprry o ak such a daft question but can I just buy some rosehip oil fom say Neal's Yard and just use a few drops here and there? Do I need to add it o anything oter than my normal moisturizer?

Cartoonjane · 23/08/2012 06:56

Terrible typing: i mean sorry to ask

It's the sunlight. That's why people use blue light therapy for acne. It helps kill the bacteria that cause acne.

Tempernillo · 23/08/2012 22:37

Oh and top tip - I use all of dd's old muslin squares (after being boil washed of course!) instead of a face cloth with the oil cleansing method.

valiumredhead · 24/08/2012 13:22

I bought mine from Amazon I think for a fiver iirc - I just put one drop in a dollop of whatever cream I am using at the time.

Going to try rosehip oil.

Only had spots after I had Mirena fitted and things have got so bad that I have recently started a course of antibiotics. Even after a few days the difference is amazing.
