Wave Envy/similar

Has anyone tried them? There seem to be several types on the market and I desperately want some but I am confused.

I've got fine, hard to curl, shoulder length hair.

Thanks in advance!

I have the Toni and guy deep barrel waver. I love it, I have long, thick hair and I love the shiny waves it gives, like a gigantic crimper!
I also have the original wave envy which is about 6 years old and made of metal not ceramic. Not so good but I'm sure the new one is.
Look at the tutorials on YouTube for how to use the wavers, they hold well and use hairspray after.
With your fine hair it would be very volumising!

Hmm... I just can't decide! What do you reckon makes the Toni and guy one better??

The Toni and guy has deeper waves in it so the waves in your hair are longer and further apart. The new wave envy looks the same in size as the old one, so narrower waves but will be much better as it is ceramic.
It depends if you want close or further apart waves, maybe where your hair is only shoulder length the wave envy would be better? It would be more wavy.

Oh I don't knoooooow.....

See I'm a teeny bit scared of deeper waves - I have had straight hair for years. Although I guess I could hold them on for less time if I wanted a less dramatic effect?

Which one do you think gives wavier waves rather than crimps?

I think wave envy would be better for your hair. Neither look like a crimper because they are too big but the wave envy does closer together waves that arnt as deep.

Thank you! Have ordered the T and G one just cos it's cheaper and I figure I can loosen the waves if they're too much. Can't wait for it to arrive :)
