Terrible cellulite- what can I do?

Until I turned 40 I was always quite slim. I have put on some weight since then(I'm 5'4 and about 9st) My thighs, bum & tum are particular problems & I'm very unhappy with the cellulite I've developed. I work full time (teacher so work in evenings too) & I'm busy with my kids too. I can't fit in the gym. I want to change my diet to shift some weight. What can I do to make a difference?

Exercise was the only thing that got rid of mine. I used to row for about 5 hours a week and my legs looked amazing - no cellulite. (I'd had loads before I started rowing.)

Could you exercise at home? Get a rowing machine?

Massage, massage, massage. Use any cream, oil, lotion or whatever you fancy. 'tis the massage that shifts it. Some say body brushing helps.

have you tried massaging the area's, I've got a pair of scratchy gloves that I use to scrub my body with, it improves the circulation and removes the dead skin, then a massage with body lotion. I find this improves the appearance

Cut out alcohol and caffiene. Hmm

OP, with your height and weight, you are still slim!

Cutting out alcohol might help but I'm dubious about the cellulitey effects of caffeine. I drink loads of coffee & tea and have had lovely taut thighs and those that resemble rice pudding.

I recommend dry body brushing daily. It only takes a couple of mins to do before you jump in the shower or bath. If you search on 'A Model Recommends', Ruth Crilly has a video of how to do it and talks about its benefits.
