Converse or Supergas?

I want some new Converse, but have been seeing a lot about Supergas recently. They don't look as nice as Converse to me, though I haven't seen any in the flesh. Are Supergas better or more comfy in some way, or just more fashionable atm?

I'm a recent convert to Supergas, they do seem to have a thicker sole.
I would go a size down though, they're pretty big!

Converse all the way, they are classic and timeless, Superga are just very fashionable atm.

Thank you! I will prob go for more Converse but will try and find some Supergas to try on too. They just look a bit on the chunky size in pics, but I guess they can't be that huge as they don't look too bad on Alexa Chung's stick legs.
