But fat to boot?

What do you wear?

I'm 5'1, size 22 with 38HH boobs.

I have a waist and my legs below the knee are ok.

I have no idea what kind of things I can get away with.

I have never ever found a pair of jeans that fit and look good.

I have a bit of an apron belly, so can't wear anything close fitting because it looks ridiculous.

But if I wear a loose top, I look bigger coz of my boobs.

I'm a lost cause aren't I?

I'm fed up of looking and feeling like a bag of bloody washing :(

Me! I've not really figured out what to wear yet either. I think good use of colour/accessories is important, though. I'm a hourglass shape - tummy sticks out at front, but I have a waist and curves and actually I think the close fitting stuff looks better on than the loose. I think belts look awful despite always advised to wear them they make me look shorter.

Hi Noren - glad its not just me!

The dress you linked to is lovely, but a bit short for me. I'm not a fan of my upper arms either.

I know what you mean about tighter clothes being more flattering - any suggestions for tummy shrinking knickers??

Hi - I'm not the same size as you but I have seen others on here recommend asos curve. Lots of pretty clothes at reasonable prices - perhaps have a browse and see if anything catches your eye?

I am short - 5ft - but skinny with it - size 6-8. I think that you do have to be careful what you wear if you are short whatever your dress size:
Avoid voluminous clothes, they add inches and make you look shorter.
Avoid cropped trousers of any type. They only draw attention to short legs and make you look even shorter.
Avoid really big patterns that end up wearing you rather than you wearing them.
Really flat ballet pumps do the vertically challenged no favours.
Go for well fitting things - slim leg jeans, knee length fitted jersey dresses, cropped cardigans and jackets that nip in the waist.
Low wedge sandals and shoes are a good alternative to flats for day to day.
