I've put on weight and although I have lots of nice clothes nothing is quite doing it for me at the moment.

I've just had a phone call from my niece saying she is getting married at the beginning of October. Very casual affair,

This could be the motivation I need.

Please give me lots of advice how I can get myself nice again!!

Has your skin suffered from your diet?

You have time to have a couple of facials and up your skin care, as well as changing your diet, which you will see a difference after a month.

Get cuticiles, feet and hair in good condition.

If you start doing something now then you could lose a reasonable amount of weight by October.
I have recently joined WW after poo pooing it for a long time but you know what its working for me. I had a reasonable diet but was just slipping in a whole lot of unnecessary extras which were causing me to gain weight. if you joined now then see how you feel mid Sep before getting a new outfit also start doing some exercise even if its walking for 30 mins a day it will help you feel a lot better about yourself.

30 Day Shred!

iknowwho · 19/08/2012 16:48

Ahhhh the 30 day shred!! I forgot about that! I will dust my copy down.

I do exercise quite a bit (mountain bike, hill walking) but have been sporodic about it over the summer holidays as it has been my busiest time at work and when I have been off I have been having fun at festivals, BBQ's, lots of birthday meals out etc.

In the words of Peter Kay ' Start Monday!!!'

30 day shred will tone you up so if you are say a flabby 16 you may become a toned one or even a tight size 14 but you won't lose weight on it unless you change your diet.

I exercise quite a bit as well but even when I trained for and took part in two half marathons last year I didn't lose as much as a pound.

At the moment I have gone up to a 14. ( which is too much for me)

I've made plans to make a start on my re vamp.
I have sent a text to my beautican to book me in a few days before the wedding for an eyelash perm and tint. On Tuesday I will book in at the hairdressers. Nearer the timeI will have my threading and eyebrow HD done.

The only issue is my weight. As it happens I'm having a full day mountain walking tomorrow but I've been looking at what classes I can make over the next few weeks for yoga, kettlebells and boxing.
Feeling a bit more positive now!

Size 14 not too bad ( although I am the same and feel the same way as you).

Another option is to book an appointment with the stylists at Debenhams or John Lewis and get them to pick some stuff for you or go for the Colour Me Beautiful style option which will let you know what shape you are and what style of clothing suits your actual shape or buy the book and get a hard nosed friend to tell you.

And sorry to harp on at you but you won't lose weight at classes although you will feel better and tone up a bit, you do need to look at your diet as well. I have been going to WW for a few weeks and whilst I haven't lost a load of weight my face is losing that saggy moony look and due to personal training sessions (which I had been going to for months but could see no difference until I actually started losing a bit of weight) my waist is becoming much more defined.

Remember to have a skin test before your lash tint. An allergic reaction would not be a good look on the big day.

I managed to lose about a stone and a half by doing the Paul Mckenna weightloss book and CD - I Can Make You Thin. Less than a tenner, so an absolute bargain.
