Boots for winter

This winter I will be in maternity clothes purchased from eBay so I thought I would splurge on a pair of boots. What is the style this year to wear with skinny jeans? Must be comfy and able to support 1.5 people!

Ahh congrats OP Clarks really have some fabulous boots this season (among the obligatory mum boots of course). I've been looking everywhere for some flat, tall, patent knee-boots, and they have the classiest pair by far. If I wasn't such a technophobe I'd link, but clarks are definitely worth a look. And sooo comfortable.
