Hi ladies
Just turned 30 and lost a considerable amount of weight.
I have bra strap length hair, with some extensions for thickness that are the same length.
I do like the look of long hair and think that having soft waves makes my face thinner.
However, no I go to the gym 5 days a week my hair is a pita. The extensions are going.
Anyway, sometimes think I look to old for long hair. What do you think?
Even though it took me ages to grow should I go for the chop. I am thinking just above shoulder. It will be quicker to do and short hair does suit me.
I suppose I am asking is long hair on an over 30 year old a no no. I sometimes feel like one of the real housewives that desperately trying to look younger.
Thanks for the advice.

I hope it's not a no no, my hair's still just above waist length at 42! If you like it long, is having the extensions removed and keeping it the same length an option before you commit to the chop?

Oops I meant to say well done on the weight loss, if you're at th gym 5 times a week you've worked had for it

I think long hair makes you look younger. I turned 30 recently so had mine cut to shoulder length, but regretted it as I now feel old and frumpy, and I noticed lots of other people my age have long hair! So now I'm growing it back. Grin

Anyway, 30 is Not old!!!! Grin

I hate this no long hair if you are 'old' bollocks. I'm 37 and my hair is long, styled and bloody gorgeous. I look much younger than 37-- I often get ID'd. 30 is not old and you can have your hair however you bloody like!

I'm growing my hair back too!
It's now hitting my shoulders.
It's not that much easier to maintain really. I still chuck it back if I need to.
I think as long as I get mine cut regularly and avoid the spaniel ears vibe I look ok.
30 isn't old! We are spring chickens you know!

Its quite thin without the extensions but nothing a quick blast with the blow dryer doesn't fix.
But the extensions take so much longer than the rest of my hair to dry and if I don't 'do' my hair its hard to hide the bonds.
So everyday I get back from the gym wash it and spend an hour doing it again. With 2 kids its time I could spend doing other things.
Thanks for the congratulations. Still got a bit to go, but I feel so much better.
Dh likes my hair, but not the extensions as he likes to touch my hair but can't with them in. :)
he says I should think about it until I ahve lost all my weight to decide and then if I still want it, treat it like a 'new do, new me' type of thing.
I know it sounds stupid but I love the way long hair looks and am worried it won't grow back as I am getting older.

sea that's what dh says, he is nearly 40 says 30 is so young.
Maybe i am having a mini midlife crisis. Since my birthday i keep thinking i look so much older.
