Jeans for £40?

I am going to Westfield today to get some jeans, so will have every shop to choose from. I only have £40 to spend, so was going to just get Topshop Baxters. My last pair are 5 years old though, has the quality/for changed? Or can anyone suggest any others for the same price that will be better? I like the structure of Baxters, i.e they feel like jeans not leggings. I have fat thighs, so end up needing a belt with them. I tried on some in Uniqlo recently and they looked terrible on me.

I bought a pair in river island a couple of weeks ago - black with a pleather trim. I have relatively large thighs and they're a good fit. Uniquo don't suit me either. I think it's mostly a case of you trying on as many pairs of jeans as possible, i try on about 40 pairs for every one pair I buy.

Thanks. I'm taking 2 9 year old boys with me, so hoping to save trying on too many my getting the best recommended by you lot Wink. I had forgotten about river island for jeans, I used to wear them before I got fat, smaller again now, so will definitely try there. I find with River Island that sometimes could spend £££ and like everything in there and sometimes it's all bloody awful Smile

I don't get along with baxters at all, constantly pulling them up! I find Oasis Cherry jeans brilliant, most comfortable jeans I've ever owned.

I'd do Gap, engage an assistant to bring you loads to try on, they are always really helpful. My favourite are long & lean as lots of 'bum' in them.

Love Topshop myself however I see that FatFace has not been mentioned and they are worth a try!

The Gap straight were good too - but I'm waiting on their discount before I buy.
