Just having a clear out, got rid of loads of stuff that either doesnt fit, isnt worn, old, or looks crap.

So i have:
Lots of vests
Black linen trousers/white linen trousers
Smart holiday shorts
Polo tops
random tops that are smartish for a night at the pub/bbq
Slouching round tops at home
A nice pair of black trousers
A black jacket
LBD
Two pairs of weekly jeans
A nice pair of going out jeans
Work stuff
4 cardigans, 3 summery, 1 anytime one.
Two sweaters to chuck on with jeans

Thats about it i think. So what am i missing? Are there any key pieces i cant live without?
I need a new bra and some nice knickers, but need to know what clothes i need Smile

What do you need clothes for?

As in, for what occasion? What do you want to do in them?

LittlePandaBear · 16/08/2012 22:07

Sounds like you have a lot of stuff! How about some day dresses?

mosschops30 · 16/08/2012 22:27

I need clothes so I don't go out naked Grin
Nothing special, I'm just sick of wearing the same old stuff season after season, some of it looks old and crap and I just want to wear stuff that makes me feel and look nice.

I've never worn day dresses, can you suggest anything nice? Am size 10 and 5'6, blonde, norks not big or small Smile

And when you say "weekly" jeans and "going out" jeans, what shape?

ARe you thinking autumn clothes?

Sounds like you just need something a bit swisher for day wear.

yy to dresses, or skirts to go with the tops you've already got.

How are your legs?

I hate doing bare legs in summer, so slim capris or a lot of prep with shaving and tan in advance.... But skirts with boots are staple stuff in winter. Skirts with chunky tights and a nice brogue in autumn?

Your brief is too vague! Grin

mosschops30 · 17/08/2012 08:05

Ok great Smile can you link to any skirts. I don't own one skirt Blush. My legs are fine, so I don't know why I haven't done skirts

noddyholder · 17/08/2012 08:08

mosschops30 · 17/08/2012 19:43

mosschops30 · 17/08/2012 22:37

Blazers are great, wear with jeans & heels for a night & pumps, sandals or white plimsolls for the day. Blouses, off the shoulder tops, over sized printed tee's are also great. Smile

Lovewearingjeans · 18/08/2012 09:05

Coloured jeans are a great way to update your look. I am looking for berry and bottle green ones for autumn. A jersey wrap or mock wrap dress is good for day or evening and flatters most shapes and sizes. Monsoon did a great one in navy that I got loads of compliments for.

mosschops30 · 18/08/2012 14:18

saw both those colours in Gap yesterday if thats any help Smile

I really like this Boden dress - it's a good price and I'm hoping I can wear it to work and at weekends too.

mosschops30 · 18/08/2012 19:53

That dress is lovely, but when i add it to my bag it comes up at £49 not £39

Itmakes. I like the dress. What sort of thing do you wear with it?

ItMakesThePeasTasteFunny · 18/08/2012 21:18

try this code TKNS

Wheresmypopcorn · 18/08/2012 22:13

A beautiful piece of knitwear that can be worn instead of a coat. Got a really beautiful one from All Saints that is belted and looks nice with jeans and boots.

ItMakesThePeasTasteFunny · 19/08/2012 06:50

Beatrice - I'm going to wear it bare-legged with pumps while this weather lasts and then with opaques and pumps/boots once it gets colder. Am hoping I can add layers either under or over it to change the look.
Popcorn yy to the knitwear - invested in a long, hooded cardigan from The White Co last year and wore so much. Still going strong for this year too!
