And I don't mean make up with glittery flecks in it, because that just looks pants IMO. I saw a lady a few weeks ago and I am kicking myself for not asking her what product she had on her face. It looked like a bb/tinted moist kind of coverage but definately light reflecting, almost a shimmer but again not a glittery teenager shimmer - looked amazing and def gave her a helping hand on the age stakes. Any ideas?

Have you tried Soap & Glory Hocus Focus?

Dillydollydaydream · 16/08/2012 09:25

Yes I use this. It's v good - I think. I also use hibeam on cheekbones/brow bone.

MissFoodie · 16/08/2012 11:11

if you don't have an issue with ingredients then "Feeling Younger" from Lush is v nice, not overly iridescent/shimmery, can be used under eyes too, a la touche eclat

I'm totally in love with the new Estee Lauder Idealist Illuminator. Not cheap but it really is great, they let me have quite a big sample first so perhaps try before you buy!

I've been asked what I'm wearing lots of times when I've had it on.

Chicinwellies · 16/08/2012 18:01

Oh great I love S&G will give that a try. Don't seem to get on with Revlon at all. Estée L has the stingiest assistant going in our local Boots so will go and see if can get a sample. Thank you !

Berri I went to both my e.l counters and both told me it wouldn't be suitable for my skin, as it's a treatment, and would be far too much. So,went for hocus focus and it's fab!!

OP posts:
berri · 20/08/2012 12:53

Ooh interesting - I wonder why it was suitable for me & not you? I didn't realise it was a treatment as such! Maybe I'm older than you (32)....

Hocus focus sounds like it has a few good recs, might try that next as it'll certainly be cheaper than EL!

kerstina · 20/08/2012 13:59

I got hocus focus not too impressed. I think becca illuminating skin perfecter is better and has a sun protection factor too.

Chicinwellies · 20/08/2012 20:43

Hmm berri I'm 34, she said it was for red skin tones, pigmentation, age spots etc, I really wanted to try it. Hocus pocus is great, ESP as purchased with advantage points

2nd the feeling younger from Lush. Luminous and glowy without glitter

berri · 22/08/2012 17:47

Weird, I don't have any of those things, and she said I had good skin before she gave it to me! maybe she was lying

Maybe try to wheedle a sample from somewhere else at some point, just to see if you like it. I think it's fab.

betterthannext · 22/08/2012 17:58

I think the Stila tinted moistuiser they are selling in poundland just now is good. 30 spf and a good highlighter

Chicinwellies · 23/08/2012 22:01

Lol maybe she was lying, because she didn't want to have to go to the effort to give me a sample. I did get the impression I was in her way of choosing which lipgloss from the counter she was going to apply next....

OP posts:
Chicinwellies · 23/08/2012 22:02

Ps if I had a pound land within an hours drive I'd be there!

vintagewarrior · 25/08/2012 17:17

EverybodyKnows · 25/08/2012 17:22

I use Bare Escentuals Brightening Primer , does wonders for me.

hellsbelles · 25/08/2012 18:17

This one really works well This Works Perfect Skin and is incredibly natural. And you can see it in action on the lovely . Also I love the Becca one - it's really beautiful but I prefer using the This Works for an all over glow.

Chicinwellies · 26/08/2012 08:01

Great thanks all.

I've just tried mixing a small amount of High Beam into my usual foundation before applying and it's lovely Grin

AKissIsNotAContract · 26/08/2012 10:08

The new sunbeam one by benefit is lovely too.

HappyGirlNow · 26/08/2012 10:10
