tights wearing/dress wearing question from fashion numpty!

should the tights be the same colour as the shoes ?

usually only wear jeans but i am planning to start wearing (or i was till it got complicated lol) tights with shoes or sh oe boots or some such.

i have some navy tights and some burgundy tights and will buy more but what colour footwear should i get.

my coat is navy also if that matters.
going shopping later so tips please if you will !

Tan or dark brown shoes & boots look good with navy and burgundy tights. I also wear black shoes & boots with them but the brown definitely look better IMO.
