Hi

I am really struggling to find a dress to wear for my daughters Christening. I would love to find a flattering dress that does not emphasise my hips. I have been shopping quite a few times but not found anything. Starting to panic!

Thanks

Hi, what height and size are you? Hair colour? Body shape? Ok to show knees and/ or arms?
Who's style do you like?

Budget?

Hi

I am a size 12, 5ft 6. I have light brown hair and would say I am curvy with slightly bigger hips. I find a lot of dresses make me look quite hippy so don't want anything too flary (if thats a word). Would like a bargain but at this point would be willing to pay up to around £100. I would be happy with a dress just above or below the knee also considering a maxi dress. Would quite like a dress that is patterned, not too dark.

thanks

I suggest a wrap dress with a slip underneath (smooths and helps if junior jojo decides to unwrap you) as you sound to be a pear shape like me.
I am a bargain hunter so have found these on eBay. Best thing about LK Bennett is that you can sell on and probably get what you paid (on eBay) back ish.
this dress is A pink leopard print which would hide the odd baby mark.
this red fixed wrap would look v glam (maybe too much for a christening?)
I have this dress and it's really flattering on the hips
This dress from [[http://www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Womens-Dresses/Knee-Length-Dresses/WH396/Womens-Twist-Front-Jersey-Dress.html?NavGroupID=4
Boden]] will be good to hide a bigger bum while also being 'busy' enough to hide the odd mark. My DS ruined my dress at his christening with his sticky fingers - so many people wanting to hold him meant he became a little cling on (was 11 mo then)

Never thought of ebay, thanks. Feel like I have tried everywhere else. I like the LK bennett dress that you have. I also like the idea of a wrap dress too, thanks for your help.
