Does anyone go to the hairdressers once a week?

I know years ago (1960's) people would go to the hairdressers each week for their 'wash and set'. So does anyone go to the hairdressers each week now for say a 'wash and blowdry'? If I had the money I would love to do this!

No but wouldn't it be a bit of a waste as would only last a day before you had to wash it again?

That said, if I was a squillionaire, I would employ someone to do a wash and blowout everyday Kate Middleton style

My mum does. For a wash and blow dry. Lasts pretty much all week but she is very careful not to let it get even slightly damp. She also gets her roots done every 3 weeks and a trim every 6! She has done for years. It looks really really good, it matters to her and she can afford it. .

My mum does this too. She never washes her hair at home in between. (She does have strange, wiry hair mind you!)

I'd hate to do it, actually. Half an hour at the hairdressers is half an hour I could be somewhere else!

My mum does too, at least twice a week, she hasn't washed her own hair for years ( not for a shampoo and set by the way, she is a very young 55!)

I did for a while to reward myself for giving up snacking out (and always bringing cheap healthy snacks and drinks from home instead)

my local place does em for £9 a go with 10th one free, £9 a week was way less than I was spending on popping into Costas and similar and I got more enjoyment from whoooshy hair than I would from nasty Costa sambos

need to start doing that again actually, spent a stupid amt on crap sambos and bad coffees today

I don't get how you could go a whole week without washing hair either, I think it only must work for people who don't exert themselves physically at all or just don't sweat from their head.

I can leave my hair for a week but I think it's because it's bum length. When I was at college I did long hair modelling so my hair used to get washed every Monday, the students could never get over that I didn't need to wash between, they used to guess I'd washed it Friday.

I can leave my hair curly for 5 days without washing it but if it is straight then I need to do it every other day.

My Mum goes for a wash and BD every week.

I only wash and blow dry my hair once a week - my hair is very dry, and I do like my hair a couple of days after I have washed it! Although I shower each morning.
