Have braved the playground with a potty!

Meant to say MrsCB, poor DD. Hope it's resolved soon. If it helps it will be a very quick GA I would have thought.

Dauphin that is so funny!!

Love the sound of your summery outfit fritzi.

What plans do you have with the DC's for the rest of the time
marsha?

Holiday sounds great Bloss.

Am excited that we plan to go away next May, not had a holiday since 2010 and not been abroad since our honeymoon. Can't wait!

FritziGreenEyes · 13/08/2012 10:17

bloss Your holiday accommodation sounds perfect. Please PM me details when you are back.

dauphin I love a good de-clutter. Have just packed up all of DD's wooden train tracks and other Brio stuff as she doesn't play with them anymore. Big lego blocks are next.

ollie Sounds like you had a great day yesterday. The picture of the beach you posted on FB looked amazing!

FritziGreenEyes · 13/08/2012 10:32

DHL just delivered new sheets and pillowcases from the WC. Thanks again for the code deca. Smile

OllieinOrange · 13/08/2012 10:49

Fritzi did you have to make the big cone thing filled with sweets again for DD? Worth going back to school for imo!

Dropped DS1 at soccer camp - its his first time and he was talking about being team captain and choosing the other players. I just don't know where he gets all his (over) confidence from.

Nice to spend some time just with DS2 this week.

Did you spot they are only doing the Aigle Cuckmere in Black and Cream this year? I know I tried and returned one last year but could have been tempted with a slate grey one this year. Decameron Bonsoir's parka looked v nice.

Bloss saw a lady at the beach who looked stunning. She was about 50 and wearing caramel coloured chino style shorts with a simple white mens shirt tucked in with bikini top underneath and flip flops. Its a great look.

MiM its lovely to make holiday plans to look forward to. Any idea where you will be going? Meant to say I was nodding in sympathy with your post last week about shopping post baby.. I was exactly the same after DS2 and just brought shoes and accessorises for ages. Looking back at pics I was always in jeans and assorted white tops/cardi's. You already have a great wardrobe to choose from so just wait for the exactly the right purchase to come along. And buy shoes etc in the meantime! Wore our Zara shoes with ankle length coated skinnies on Sat night for meal out with DH - they are such a great buy.

Can't wait for the big declutter to start next week once school starts - I feel like the house (esp my wardrobe) is caving in on me.

FritziGreenEyes · 13/08/2012 11:03

ollie Hehe, the big cone is only once-in-a-lifetime, i.e. for the very first day of school. However DD got a new, very cute Hippo-shaped lunchbox, pink saddlebags for her bike and a diabolo.

Have already put three bags of junk in the car boot. Feeling very suffocated by all the stuff cluttering our house.

Hopefully · 13/08/2012 11:21

Bloss glad you're having a great time!

Amber tate modern fab, but if the weather is good it's nice just to mooch along and people watch - not so busy that you'll struggle to keep track of a toddler (is she walking? Can't remember).

Cancelled seeing friends which is a shame as will only see them once or twice more before we move Sad. Will be so sad to leave lovely network I have here, even though move is very exciting!

DS2 appears perfectly healthy now - stole my two custard creams while I was getting DS1 a snack and is keeping them down without a problem Hmm Grin

Dauphin · 13/08/2012 11:29

Hi

MiM - I would bide your time with new purchases. I made lots of mistake purchases, post birth. I prefer waiting nowadays to find the right thing, although seem to obsess about things for ages and then on point of purchase go off them rather quickly. Fickle...

Well done on persevering with potty training. Such a relief to not have to buy/change nappies!

Fritzi - WC bed linen fab. Such good quality and simple timeless designs.

I hate clutter, and feel so much better after a good clearing. Sweet things for your DD!

OllieinOrange · 13/08/2012 11:29

Hopefully Think you made the right call. Sickness bugs are funny things.

MarshaBrady · 13/08/2012 11:40

MiM probably just more of the same. Wait for good weather, go with dh to same place. They know and are nice to us now! and I find it so lovely and relaxing.

Maybe a holiday in Oct but then Aus at Christmas. Could be a bit much. Fab you are going on a lovely holiday.

Hopefully big move ahead how exciting. But yes sad too, to leave supportive network. Hope it all goes really well.

alwaysrunninginheels · 13/08/2012 11:55

bloss which camp are you at? Hope you are having a wonderful time. My eurocamp brochure has arrived so am about to peruse.

fritzi am very impressed at your junk making it into the car. I tried the other day only to find i ended up with the children being adamant that the mobilo (which hadnt been touched for years) was their fav toy, ditto the large lego, ditto wooden railway- hence there is more junk lying around than before i started ........So am in awe!

FritziGreenEyes · 13/08/2012 12:12

always I have to do it secretly or DD would have a total meltdown. She has never missed or asked for any of the items I have given away though.

FritziGreenEyes · 13/08/2012 12:38

Will brave the post office to drop off ebay parcels now. Big portion of frozen yoghurt afterwards Wink

MidnightinMoscow · 13/08/2012 12:45

I agree Dauphin which is why I am buyIng anything now unless I
know it will work for A&W.

I laughed hearing what your DS said ollie. Lovely to hear such confidence. Another Ussain maybe?!

Undecided so far about holidays. Main deciding factor will be somewhere to cater for DS's allergies, alongside short flight etc.

DS has only pee'ed once today and now has a temp of 39. Hmmm.

You're welcome, Fritzi! The rain held off so no shoe shopping for DD1 today. What do you think the W&A uniform is? J Brands?

Bloss, sounds great, will have to do something like that next year.

Ollie, it's great he is so confident, long may it last. DD1 is the same.

alwaysrunninginheels · 13/08/2012 14:10

Arrrggghhh i think i need mrscb......am at the end of my tether dealing with mouse droppings and traps....................

Emo76 · 13/08/2012 14:28

everything those dresses are lovely - they look like they might come up a bit short for me though. Great spot!

mrscb hope your DD is feeling OK - the things parenthood brings eh?!

I know what you all mean re decluttering making you feel better. Especially all the plastic crp we seem to accumulate, but like you fritzi* I have to do it whilst DD1 is well out of sight and hearing range!

Emo76 · 13/08/2012 14:29

always I found the old fashioned traps laced with peanut butter or a raisin to be the most effective - luckily DH is in charge of that department !

AntPants1 · 13/08/2012 14:47

Any good Boden codes around? About to do an order....

Decameron · 13/08/2012 14:57

Last time we had mice (thankfully a while ago), I came home with Waitrose organic peanut butter for the trap. Dh still laughs at me about it.

Ants, I used TKNS for 15% off. Some styles are 20% off at the moment.

AntPants1 · 13/08/2012 15:03

Thanks Deca have just order the ankle zip Capri trousers I liked so much from my Boden autumn order in grey oh and LK Bennet blouse and yellow bag....have pinned! Oops! Have day off. Obviously not good for bank account!

Meant to say always am so relieved everything resolved itself for your DS.

Hopefully · 13/08/2012 15:54

So bored of self imposed quarantine. Too scared to go out as DS2 retches appallingly every time he eats (although hasn't thrown up and seems singularly unconcerned that he sounds like a cat bringing up a hair ball). We have watched tv, played in the garden, watched more tv, eaten biscuits, watched more tv, built a small train track, watched more tv...

FritziGreenEyes · 13/08/2012 16:20

hopefully Extend the train track and eat some more biscuits? Alternatively you could do a shred session with your DSs.

Decameron · 13/08/2012 17:04

Sounds like a typical day here, Hopefully!

OllieinOrange · 13/08/2012 17:10

Its funny re the 'uniform' thing. we often like the same thing but if we all wore say the same pair of jeans or jumper, we could look completley different due to our body shapes and what we would choose to wear/style with it.
It would be like a Easy Living feature - 20 ways to wear a pair of skinnies!
