I was a little bit disappointed with one aspect of my Bobbi Brown purchase!!

I drove over a hundred miles as down here in the deepest, darkest depths of the countryside we have no Bobbi Brown counter nearby so I drove to Bristol at the weekend to go and get some concealer for under my eyes as lots of mumsnetter rave about it.

Fab makeup lady, very helpful etc etc but when I go to pay (£77.50 later) she puts my purchases in a flimsy little John Lewis carrier bag (call me naive but I was expecting a nice paper bag with BB written on it Hmm) so off I go and about 30 seconds after getting out of the store my stuff falls on the floor as there's a hole in the very flimsy bag.

Annoying about the JL bag, but, FWIW, I've bought Bobbi Brown in lots of different London department stores and you never get a carrier with the logo on. I do think the products are well worth the money, though.

£77.50 for under eye concealer?!!

mampam · 10/08/2012 21:23

I'm only having a laugh, I didn't realise JL bags would be so flimsy (no JL in Devon as yet)!

didldidi - I didn't just buy concealer Grin I also bought correcter, eye liner and a cream eye shadow too.

Love the cream eye shadows.

I too was disapointed by this. However, the girls on the counter at JL in Cribbs are fantastic so that out weighs it :)

OP do you have a Waitrose nearby- if so , JL will deliver there for you to collect, or you can re-order BB stuff from JL online for home delivery.

mampam · 14/08/2012 20:56

No unfortunately we have no Waitrose nearby. Will definitely re-order online, really fab stuff but have realised that I do need the plumping eye cream, concealer clogs in my wrinkles otherwise Blush.

boodles yes the girl that colour matched me on the counter in Cribbs was really nice and I liked that she wasn't pushy with selling the products.

Yes I do find JL bags a bit disappointing, you'd think they could knock up some nice stiff ones. Go to Harvey Nicks or Selfridges next time Wink
