I have found the Holy Grail....

If like me you suffer from the delight that is "wet" armpits, then prepare to weep with joy.

Dove 48hr maximum protection anti perspirant is sent from heaven. I bought some a few das ago from Boots (other shops are available) and it is fantastic.
You put it on at night and also in the morning if you want, although that is optional. It lasts ALL day even through a shower. No wet patches, no stickiness, NADA. It's magic stuff.

It is 30C in my office and my pits aren't even moist! Last time it was this hot I had to wear black because of the patches (really making myself sound attractive).

Its a bit more expensive, £5.30 but I'd even go without wine to be able to buy this beauty. Its probably got some nasty shit in to last this long but I don't care cos I have dry armpits!!!

And no I don't work for Dove etc and I think Sure may do one too but I picked the Dove up cos it was cucumber smelling. [Smile]

Can I ask a stupid question?
If you're using a 48 hr deodorant, when you're in the shower do you have to avoid your armpits so as not to wash it off? I've never understood the point of it lasting more than a day.

Thanks for this - i've been using Sure Maximum but I still feel damp so I'm adding this one to my shopping list!

minipie · 09/08/2012 15:27

Yup I use the Dove one and it's at least 2 or 3 times as effective as a "normal" deodorant.

I wash it off and reapply every day. The main thing for me is not that it lasts longer, it's that it's more effective when it's on.

Runs out quickly though so it's even more expensive than it looks Sad

MadamTwoSwords · 09/08/2012 15:45

It says it lasts 48 hrs through a shower but tbh I just reapply each night. Like minipie says, for me its not the longetivity its the dampness protection.

It is expensive but I have dry pits!

I have been using the Bionsen mineral one. But it smells of sweat.

I'm a realist - if it was me smelling of sweat I'd admit it. But as soon as you put it on?

Who's make a deo stick that smells of sweat! Words fail me!

ByTheWay1 · 09/08/2012 15:50

Not my pits that have the problem today, it's my face and scalp - bleugh......really good look (flushed with water running down my face and wet hair)- not! LOL

THERhubarb · 09/08/2012 15:52

Or you could sellotape sanitary towels to your armpits?
