What colour Converse have you all got?

I want to get a pair of Converse but don't know what colour. Years ago I had a red colour which I wore to death, I don't know if I should get another red pair or a different colour. I'm quite boring classical colours wise and was thinking of black or navy.

What colour have you got? What do you wear them with?

Wow, thanks for all of the lovely ideas and suggestions. Have to read through the thread properly but definitely a lot of ideas.

I have also seen a lot of Converse copies about which are obviously a lot cheaper, does anyone have a pair. Are they OK or is it worth investing in the real thing?

The real thing last much longer, but the high street copies are ok :)

I have an ordinary black pair, and a lilac pair with a slightly darker purple tongue bit which folds down over da laces and looks well street, man... for a 40 year old, anyway

I have these navy ones

I have brown leather with Velcro straps and a pair of wonder woman ones. They are the comfiest things ever.

I have red, purple and blue but my favourites are a beautiful Apricot colour.

DS has some fab turquoise ones.

Thanks ghostship. They look pretty darn pink to me too! Think I prefer the grey ones with the flowery lining though.

Navy and black low tops but now want silver after reading this!

I have white hi tops, bright green hi tops, red low's and black and cream tartan double tongue lows. I wear cons nearly every day :)

I have a khaki pair of low tops.

To whoever mentioned them being comfy though, they're not! I spent months breaking the mofos in and they still give me blisters faster than anything else.

I wash them when they start to get grubby.

Love them! Wear them all the time.

Have two pairs of low tops, a grey and a red pair.
They are ok. I think I may prefer vans now though.

I have red high tops but after 9 years they are looking a bit knackered and silver leather low tops which I have had for 6 years and are still going strong.

I have tried high street versions and they never last more than a few months to a year where as mine, dh, dsis, dbro and dm have all had our current cons for yeeeeeaaaaaarrrrrrrrssssss

Blisters? Really? Mine are the most comfortable shoes I've ever had! I have to admit though, I got men's ones because they were a bit wider, they look exactly the same as DD's women's ones though.

So that may be the answer

I don't get it about the blisters at all. I can only think yours are the wrong size? Mine have never so much as rubbed a bit.

Black leather and white and red. Quite tempted by some brown leather lows as well, you can never have too many pairs;)

I have navy but I quite like the idea of silver leather ones for autumn.

I found a pair of khaki suede Superga high tops in T K Maxx yesterday. I really liked them and will pop back today to see if they are still there.
