Which would you rather recieve...

A mac lipstick, or Nails Inc crackle effect varnish? Birthday present for a close friend. She's 29, LOVES Mac, has a fair bit but there are no stockists where we live, so limited to out of town shopping trips. Really likes Nails Inc, has the colours which were freebies with Glamour last year, know she wanted to try the magnetic funny ones, but probably not as great a fan as of MAC.

So, which to get?

Both sound good, but I would only get lipstick if you know which colour she wants. Less guesswork in crackly nail varnish.

I would prefer the nail varnish.

I'd rather have the lippy, but think nail polish is easier to get right from a colour perspective.

Luckily, she's the type of girl who suits practically every colour! I can't find the colours on the Nails Inc website I liked, but they're from TK Maxx- check out in there if you're a fan, 3 pack for around £15!

Nails - a safer bet as a gift. Lipstick is much more personal.
