Nails??

How many of you paint your nails or have them 'done' ??

I'm not really one for it but if I do I tend to go for pale pink if I do. Subtle but looks nice I thought.

However, I have just painted the bright pink , I'm not really one for bright colours. Not sure if I like them or not. Will I get used to them? bad choice?

I have a couple of Chanel and Dior ones, all of which chip like a bastard. I change my nail varnish so often that I now just stick to budget brands or mid-priced ones like Nails Inc when they're doing special offers.

Always painted here. Usually go for 'tarts toes' (bright pink, red or rouge noir type colours) on my feet and 'nuns nails (pail pinks and nudes) on my hands. That's in the summer. Winter, they tend to match and will be dark red, plum, dark pinks, red wine colours etc. I love Essie colours and Seche Vite top coat is amazing.

I think it just makes a person look 'finished' IYKWIM?

I tend to paint my toes but not really bother with nails due to all the washing and I file them every day so it gets chipped fast.

I love having my nails done, but it happens once in a blue moon.

I keep polish on them most of the time at home, often only clear polish on fingernails but really bright/ strong colours on my toenails - at the moment I really like the Revlon Colourstay polishes (Boots were doing them 3 for 2 a few weeks ago), I've got Vintage Rose, Marmalade and Stormy Night and I love them all. It's supposed to last 11 days, and IME it does get to a week reasonably intact!

I tend not to have loads of polishes on the go at once though, as they get gloopy and ick so quickly.

I wish I could have my nails done, but am a nurse so am not allowed. They would never last with all the washing though. When I wasn't working I had everything from black to pale pink though. my favourite was the plummy

Have them gellished every 2nd week. Am a bit obsessed and currently going through a glitter phase, had white currently have black and think I'll go for shocking pink next. For work I am v corporate, lots of black so like my nails for a splash of personality.

Love it as I like to change colours but don't always have time to repaint.
I do them with the sensationail stuff then paint over the top with normal polish whenever I want a colour change. When I'm bored I just take off with non acetone remover and the gel polish is still perfect underneath!

Also fab for practicing nail art on as when you make a mistake you can wipe it off with remover and your base colour isn't affected
