Which dress?

coffeeandchoc · 03/08/2012 16:40

I am going to my BIL's wedding at the end of September and am trying to decided which dress I should wear.

Please look on my profile and rate the four dresses on there and tell me which you think would be best for a wedding and how I should accessorize it.

Im a size 14, so quite curvy, have lightish brown hair and blue eyes.

And tell me if they look out of style because one is from 2007 and one from 2008 (other two are only from last year)

TIA

I think the last one-the green one looks lovely.

Vicky08 · 03/08/2012 16:52

I also think the green one is the nicest. It's the plainest which means it could be dressed up more without looking OTT.

I like the navy choc and gold one/third one, with a blazer and gold shoes. The first two are lovely but quite summery, it will probably be freezing in late Sept!

Either of the last 2. If it were me, the green one. Lovely colour.

Thanks for the replies, green one coming in too at moment then. Gold or nude shoes?

waitingforgodot · 03/08/2012 16:57

coffeeandchoc · 03/08/2012 17:00

Well I guess if I have two colours to pick from I'm more likely to find done I like Grin

Gold shoes

ivykaty44 · 03/08/2012 17:04

Third for a wedding

The last dress is to plain and to similar to an office outfit -sorry
I would put these shoes

JodieHarsh · 03/08/2012 17:08

Green one, definitely. I like it!

The plain colour means you can really go to town on some chic accessories. A clashing colour - coral, for instance - would look amazing. That neckline would suit a chunky statement necklace, the colours of which could be matched to some shoes.

JodieHarsh · 03/08/2012 17:10

this provides a 'look book' of the kind of contrasting accessories I mean.

coffeeandchoc · 03/08/2012 17:20

Oh thanks Jodie, that has given me some inspiration

Last one for me too.

JodieHarsh · 03/08/2012 17:25

Good :)

Green/blue and coral (or red) are a fantastic colour combination and incredibly chic.

coffeeandchoc · 04/08/2012 07:56

Would these shoes work with the green dress?

coffeeandchoc · 04/08/2012 07:59

Ok. Not great at this style thingy

JodieHarsh · 04/08/2012 08:28

They're a little too red - but not very. You want something more orangey-red. Hang on, I'll have a look....

JodieHarsh · 04/08/2012 08:30

Here's what comes up searching for 'coral shoes' on John Lewis...

Depends what height shoe you can bear/your budget!

coffeeandchoc · 04/08/2012 09:47

Thanks, i'll go have a look.

Can't wear very high but think i will have to suffer for the day Smile
