Help! - what 'evening/maxi dress' to wear to a 40th Birthday party? Am size 16 & 5ft 9in

It is on Sat - I know I've left it too late but was hoping i could wear a jacket adn trousers but i have been told it MUST be eve/maxi dress!

I also need to cover tops of arms if poss! :)

No good at links on my iPhone but Next have a very nice 'black embellished maxi dress' for £70. Would look gorgeous with a little cardie / waterfall jacket of any colour.
