Just go with it - some nice blue mascara should work well and perhaps some pale pink pearlescent lipstick.

It seems to me you're making some very strict rules about what's OK and what's not, fashion-wise. It's a pile of shit. Surely once you start trying to define 'frumpy' that's the next thing that will be used.

Navy blue eyebrows sound beautiful, to me. But all the other stuff you've all been talking about as being frumpy is just the same. It's just personal opinion and it changes.
