I mean, the insoles goes black with the mark of your feet, it looks so dirty and horrible...some models are pretty and people say it is comfortable but...

I likes the Havaiianas, but they make my feet like the Gruffalo trotters

Sad
AbsofAwesomeness · 31/07/2012 16:45

I LOVE Havaianas. They're amazing

EvenBetter · 31/07/2012 20:20

I do think they look gross, but I think that was gross ON ME, with deathly white, skinny old mans legs and bunioned feet shoved into them.
They are soooooooo comfortable. I also have a pair of croc knock offs for work and they're like walking on marshmallows
Oddly, I think crocs are cute! Though not for anyone I know-I'd judge them.

EvenBetter · 31/07/2012 20:22

Oh!
Matalan are selling Havaianas for a tenner online!
What is it about them? Do they keep their sole thickness?

comelywench · 31/07/2012 20:27

Havaianas are the best flip flops I've ever had. I'm seriously hard on flip flops and these are the first kind that have lasted more than one season. They are also ridiculously comfortable. EvenBetter they do keep their sole thickness and don't mould to your feet like cheaper flip flops, but they're still extremely comfortable.

I've never had birkenstocks - always fancied a pair tho.

Itsgottabebags · 31/07/2012 20:38

I have a pair (bought cheap at TK Maxx) but find them slightly uncomfortable at the front. Any tips for how to make them more comfortable?

NoComet · 31/07/2012 20:38

They are a necessary evil until other flip flop makers realise that some of us cannot do toe posts.

rookiemater · 31/07/2012 20:45

I don't like them, also got a cheap pair from TK Maxx and find it hard to grip and walk in them and also hate the flap flap sound they make when I walk.

ninah · 31/07/2012 21:22

it's not my look

complexo · 01/08/2012 12:47

Ok, so let's move on to Fitflops. Yay or Nay? Too mumsy maybe?

I love Birkenstocks, I think they are so comfortable. I only like the Gizeh style though, with the toe post.

Fitflops, however, I hate. They're so big and blingy, very mumsy imo.

mugglelady · 01/08/2012 18:59

I wouldn't wear them

QuickLookUsainBolt · 01/08/2012 20:19

Oh I had terrible problems with Birkenstocks. I found them so uncomfortable, a real pain to walk in. I threw them in bin after a month.

I love Havaianas, I wear them in the house all day during the summer.

CockBollocks · 01/08/2012 22:14

fit flops are a crime!

Love birkenstocks, great for my flat footed family!!

Crocs look ok on children and people with very small feet Grin

Never tried Havaianas, but do love flip flops.

Drywhiteplease · 01/08/2012 23:32

Crocs,uggs,Birkenstocks,flit flops...Sad
Havianas look nice but are they worth it?

JessePinkman · 01/08/2012 23:46

God that wet hair comment. Please. I used to commute with wet hair. After a two stage dc drop off. No I didn't get time to dry it before. I would brush it when dry when I got to work, sometimes put it up.

Always commuted in Timberland deck shoes, with wet hair. Like a pirate.

HeartsJandJ · 03/08/2012 16:33

Grin at like a pirate

holler · 03/08/2012 17:06

Loathe fit flops.
Love havaianas. Keep the sole and stay comfy, unlike cheaper makes.
Find Birkenstocks comfy but feel über-mumsy in them. I have a hideous beige pair - not Madrid or Gizeh (can't remember), but they are the comfiest shoes ever.

MarysBeard · 03/08/2012 17:11

I tried some of the traditional ones on once, it was like putting on a cardboard box. Am aware they do other types but have never needed anything other than my sporty yet pretty Merrells.

Panzee · 03/08/2012 18:08

I bought those yesterday MarysBeard! They are super comfy.

Pseudonymity · 03/08/2012 20:06

I find them uncomfortable. The foot shaped bit is not shaped like my foot.

PerryCombover · 03/08/2012 20:22

Nope. Only acceptable on preggos
