Help. I have 5 stone of baby weight to lose. Size 22 5'8" was determined not to buy a lot of workwear til I managed to get a bit smaller but have a meeting next week and need to be very smart (am a solicitor). Any suggestions where I can buy a smart suit in London over the weekend? Was planning to try debenhams and John Lewis Oxford street...

I don't know whether Next is your cup of tea but I've just found this jacket www.next.co.uk/x5056s3#762587x50 and this dress www.next.co.uk/x502062s3#794379x50 or this dress www.next.co.uk/x5056s4#770275x50 so Next might worth a go for cheapish and easy to obtain on the high st.

Glad you found some things. Another time, might be worth you having a look in Marina Rinaldi shop in Bond St (the plus size label of Max Mara).

When I was in office mode, I used to get almost all my work wear from them - with occasional additions from M and S Marble Arch. There's also a shop called Beige in Chancery Lane which specialises in Marina Rinaldi office wear.

I would not personally have worn Next (except perhaps for the odd top/blouse).
