What do you store your make up in?

Mine is all in a small drawer in my dressing table, jumbled together.

Dd2 (2 1/2yo) emptied said drawer and has used my concealer, eyeliners and lipstick as crayons!

So am going to have a makeup overhaul, buy some new stuff but want a more organised storage system.

Wondering if a vanity case s a good idea?

I have my essentials in a plastic case from Halfords - similar to this! Kid you not. DS (2.11) hasn't yet discovered how to open it and it can be stashed away in a drawer under clothes.

[Whisper] if you have a drawer full for make up, maybe you need to scale it back at bit?

Ooh, that looks good. What about the brushes? And does it fit mascaras, foundation etc?

yes, sort out is long overdue. Sadly not a glamorous drawer full but more half used lipsticks, eyeshadows in hideous colours jumbled mess of a drawer full!

I'm currently using a stationary organiser box from WH Smith in a Cath Kidston esque pattern, has 6 drawers of varying sizes. Think I'm going to move onto Muji as soon as I can get my act together, like the idea of being able to see everything without having to root around.

I use a cutlery holder like this easy to carry about and looks quite nice. When I was younger and had more make up I used one of those holders you keep horse grooming equipment in.

Matilda it fits in a retractable blusher brush and foundation - the inserts on my box are removable so I just took one out to make space for the foumdation. The blusher brush, mascara and tweezers fit where 2 of the inserts would have been.

I have a wicker basket with my make up in.

I have mine in these wooden drawers from Ikea along with 4 or 5 freebie makeup bags from Clarins.

I have one of those hard cases which open out in layers like the pros use and yet it still isn't big enough.

I realise the above statement probably makes me sound like I'm dolled up like a fucking Christmas tree.
