Since having DC I have hardly worn heels (SAHM and live in Cons or sandals), but I have a wedding and a christening to go to next month and I really need some 'proper' shoes to go with this dress;

What colour do I go for? I'm really tall so want to avoid anything too high (wouldn't normally mind but don't want to look too freakishly lanky in the photographs!!), and I don't want to spend more than about £60 really as I doubt I will wear them very often. Also, any ideas on something to wear with the dress? I know we will be outside for a short while during the evening at the wedding so don't want to be too cold. Any help is appreciated, I'm clueless (and please don't tell me the dress looks like curtains like my MIL did)
