Sorry, I've just realised they are navy, not black. But buy them anyway as they're brilliant.

Francagoestohollywood · 26/07/2012 21:39

The best ballerinas are Porselli, followed by Repetto...

BikeRunSki · 26/07/2012 21:47

431,en_GB,pd.html Here I have a pair that have had hard use for about 8 years and still going strong.

Gosh, my ballet flats don't last for 8 weeks!

I love love love the Porselli ballet flats - the kind of wrinkly ones Grin.

Love those Harriet French Soles - but there's no left and right!! for some reason am finding this difficult to get my head round Confused

crazyaccountant · 26/07/2012 21:59

You need these in your life! I get blisters so easily and these are the softest leather pumps ever, decent rubber sole so hard wearing and really excellent quality. I have spent huge amounts on shoes and these are the flats I wear every day for work, I have them in about 5 colour ways as dune seem to bring a few styles of them out every season.

PurplyWurply · 27/07/2012 00:54

Flosshilde what sort of fit are they? I need some width in my shoes. Loving the purple and the green!

Needstotidyup · 27/07/2012 00:56

Toe cleavage cheap? Don't tell my jimmy choo flats Blush

SpringGoddess · 27/07/2012 07:20

Well who knew? Toe cleavage blog

I think I might be getting old - I look at those women in high heels and I note the gap at their heels, and I wonder how they can walk in a pair of shoes that don't fit - does anyone know?

hazchem · 27/07/2012 09:36

floss tell me more about the berties. are they widish?

I'm meant to be looking for some plain black shoes to wear to both a wedding and an interview but those purple ones would work so well with my wedding outfit!

Sorry to hijack op

Builders Tea - I have those Next ballet flats - both shades, too. They are incredibly comfy and have seen me through this glorious summer of ours and have coped admirably with the endless rain. They are a perfect staple and I will buy them year on year. (As long as Next doesn't do their favourite trick and withdraw one of the few bits in their entire store that I get on with!) No toe cleavage though. A major plus for me, as I have barges where my feet should be.

Recursive Moon - excellent toe cleavage options at Blue Velvet Shoes. Blue Velvet Despite my clown feet, I have a couple of pairs and you feel like you're walking on air, the leather is so soft. And they last, which is important because outside of the sale, they can be a bit £££. They also have an extraordinary range called sport ballerinas. Bit of a cross between a classic ballerina and a tod's loafer

enjoyingscience · 27/07/2012 14:28

Those Porselli ones are fab. I can't see them on their website though? (probably just as well, they look like they might be £££).

I get on surprisingly well with H&M ones, cost £7.99. Don't meet the lasts more than a week criteria, about 1mm toe cleavage - more than that and you start to see toe hair, which is a feature I like to reserve for the special people in my life.

H&M ones

Francagoestohollywood · 27/07/2012 14:32

The Porselli ones are usually around 90 euros here (Milan), but the ones in 2 colours (divine) are around 120 euros I think.
I have to say that they last forever, and they look good when are a bit worn.

When I lived in the UK I also found gorgeous ballerinas at Topshop.

AbsofAwesomeness · 27/07/2012 14:34

I like the super cheapy Thopshop ones. They're VERY comfortable and last longer than you'd think (my current pair have been going for around 4 months, which for non proper shoes is really good). I have a pink pair of the topshop ones which have been going for TWO YEARS and you can wash them in the washing machine (I found out by mistake)

AbsofAwesomeness · 27/07/2012 14:35

topshop, not thopshop

VinaApsara · 27/07/2012 14:36

I've been wearing these ones from next all summer. They are lovely and the best ballet flats I've ever had.

DilysPrice · 27/07/2012 14:48

Ooh the Blue Velvets look nice for walking into work - I feel the need to drop into the Kings Road shop before their sale finishes (bet they won't fit though).

I can't believe that Kurt G thought that people would pay 80 quid for plastic shoes though Shock.

polyhymnia · 27/07/2012 16:33

My favourites of the pricier ones are Pretty Ballerinas - really comfortable, and, well, pretty. I have these, which don't in fact show much toe cleavage at all.
www.prettyballerinas.com/index.php?mod=product&id=SES5012b36a98517&productID=6&colourID=982&lang=en
But they have lots of black ones.

Will be looking out for those Porselli ones when I go to Milan though.

Flosshilde · 27/07/2012 17:16

The Bertie ones are narrow, I think. I have a narrow foot and am in a 6, whereas I would normally be in a 5 in a wider fit.

Sorry hazchem and Purply Sad

They are also piss resistant, I have discovered.

BikeRunSki · 27/07/2012 18:08

The Land's End ones are quite wide, and come in a wide fit.

purplepansy · 27/07/2012 20:10

my favourite are: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Womens-Office-Girl-Academic-Ballerina-Black-Leather-Flats-/130709002349?pt=UK_Women_s_Shoes&var=&hash=item642254cf4a#ht_2475wt_1198

I don't think you can get the plain black ones direct from office anymore, must be last years, but they are just so flipping perfect. I'm on my second pair of the navy ones.

RecursiveMoon · 27/07/2012 20:34

I've had those ones before pansy! I liked then too - expensive but good quality.

RecursiveMoon · 27/07/2012 20:36

I'm pretty much obsessing over the Porselli ones though Envy.
