Breastfeeding-friendly summer dresses?

IWishIKnewHow · 26/07/2012 11:28

After having DS2 six weeks ago I have no idea what to wear. I used to spend the summer in dresses, but now can't wear any of them, what with constantly needing to whip my boobs out.

Anyone seen any nice, non-frumpy summer dresses with easy, discreet boob access?

I am:
5 foot 6
Size 12/14
Ginormous, droopy boobs
Bit of a post-pregnancy tum

Any suggestions gratefully received!

I got a lovely maxi dress from evans lastyear. It had short sleeves, a wrap style top and covered my post pregnancy belly and my horrible legs. It was very cool and comfy and the wrap front top made it very easy to breastfeed.
This year I have got a halterneck style one which looks like breastfeeding will be a bit harder to achieve discreetly

Are you me? We even have the same measurements and I'm bfeeding, boobs up to a 34H. I've bought a nice cotton dress from fat face that has a button front which I've been wearing to death. It looks like they've got some more styles on the website now as well.

Make sure you look closely as even some that don't look like they have a button opening in front, like this one, actually do!

Most of them have either proper shoulders or wide straps that cover up the big nursing bra straps as well.

In fact on closer inspection it appears that ALL bar one or two of the dresses currently on the fat face website have a button front, and the other ones look like they're probably stretchy enough to be pulled down on one side (eg. this one).

(Also in case you're wondering, the buttons on mine don't gape at all.)

They look lovely. I'm after dresses for bf in, but I'm too large for those.

Thanks Xiaoxiong, love the seagull print dress! Reaching for the credit card already... some other nice ones at Fatface too, and would never have thought of looking there.

Will check out Evans too Debs75.

Glad you like it! I never would have thought of fat face either, there just happens to be one on my high street and I was casting my net wider than usual to find something bf-able.
