Laser hair removal

Just how painful is it? Compared to say waxing/threading (I have only ever had my eyebrows threaded and bikini waxed)?

I'm considereing having my bikini area and/or my underarms done. I'm fair skinned and dark haired which is I believe ideal for this type of hair removal, but i'm not very keen on pain and too scared to book.

Its more painful, especially in those areas. I used to take 2 paracetamol and 2 ibroprofen around 40 mins before a session which helped take the edge off it. Get a test session first and see how you get on.

Its not really that bad, the anticipation is worse. The woman that did it was quite chatty so I just used to talk at full speed to her about anything and before I knew it, it was over. I told her not to mess around but just do it quick and ignore my flinching which she did. It only takes about ten mins per session max.

I am really pleased with the results. I had six sessions and at first there was still some hair left but it seems to have gone now. I run a razor over my bikini line about ever 8 weeks or so just to tidy up, and there is no itching on regrowth.
