Any ideas oh wise ones?

I am a size 18 5'5" worst parts are tummy closely followed by bum Blush and unfortunately my bosoms didn't inherit the plus size bit Sad

The style I tend to suit best is a sort of empire a-liney type (I think) as it skims over tummy Hmm

Any advice would be greatfully received Thanks

A wrap dress with a contrasting jacket and maybe a scarf. Good luck!

Sorry I didn't come back on, poorly child took over my attention!

Thanks for the input everyone!

Tellybug, I honestly wouldn't know where to start with that combo! Anywhere I can see an example?

Mum - Thanks, I'll have a look at them Smile

Bander- Yes to Businessy, I tend to wear smart trousers and blouse day to day but need to step it up a notch for this interview I think! what do I already own that I feel comfortable in.... I have this www.marksandspencer.com/Scoop-Neck-Angle-Flared-Dress/dp/B005XSB02Q?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_21&nodeId=308803031&sr=1-21&qid=1343252442 I feel really comfy in it but don't know what to put with it, and think in a way I need to get something new....

I would expect something suit like would be expected, I would have been out and bought one already if I was a skinny minnie but, alas, I'm not! Any ideas where to start looking?

I think I need something with a longish line and a nipped in highish waist if that makes any sense? (sorry I told you I am no good at this!)

Ah..I was at an outlet centre last weekend
They had lots of m&s suiting for pennies but all in larger sizes and 6s
I think it's worth a shot of money is tight

I second a dress with well fitted jacket
Try to get the jacket to fit your shoulders..don't ever consider closing it. It will slim you and give you structure
Tk maxx for an excellent £ looking scarf to pull it all together

Thanks so much for this!

I would feel a bit self concious in that colour jacket I think, I do love Phase 8 clothes though as a rule. To be honest I would've overlooked that jacket as too short- would it not accentuate the bottom area?

I hadn't though of putting a shirt under the dress, so will have to look into it/give it a go- the dress is very tailored around the waist so I would need to make sure the skirt didn't make me lumpy around the middle! I do a good job of being lumpy on my own!!

Scarf is another option I should have a look at as I'm not sure which way to tie it with a dress!

Thanks again Thanks
